It's a scenario that every installer has faced—an HDMI cable that is seemingly secured into a port falls out of an input or output of a component to prompt a customer service call.

Helping installers to eliminate these types of service call is the Ill.-based manufacturer Vanco. The latest product from the Midwestern company is its new SecureFit HDMI line of HDMI cabling solutions. Vanco states the line of products are pull tested up to 7 pounds to provide a 45 percent stronger connection than standard HDMI connections.

Enabling the SecureFit products' strength are raised points on the connectors that snap into place to securely hold cabling connections in place. Vanco explains the HDMI cabling products also support the latest industry formats, including 4K at 60Hz, as well as popular formats such as 1080p, and niche technologies such as 3D video.

Vanco adds the UL Listed, CL2 rated connectors deliver data transfer rates up to 18Gbps, and they support HDMI options such as the audio return channel and IP over HDMI.
