Adding more choices to its selection of user interface devices, URC (Universal Remote Control) has announced its new TKP-5500 in-wall touchscreen.
URC says its latest in-wall touchscreen complements its Total Control smart home system and it works with its TC Advanced Network Controllers (MRX-8/10/20). Featuring a high-resolution 5-inch touchscreen the TKP-5500 installs in either a portrait or landscape configuration, and it fits in a single-gang wall box.
“Now Total Control families can enjoy the powerful, but unobtrusive convenience of a compact, elegant in-wall controller that adds panache to any home decor,” notes Jon Sienkiewicz, director of communications, URC. “Keypads never walk away like mobile devices do so your controller will always be there for you. It's easy to control entertainment and automation in every room from one convenient location.”
The N.Y.-based manufacturer adds the touchpanel offers homeowners full access to the features of their Total Control systems, including IP cameras, third-party, two-way devices, Z-Wave products, timers, events, room menus and room linking for URC DMS products.
“Users can view Total Control compatible IP cameras in a very cool way,” Sienkiewicz points out. “The TKP-5500 has a multiview function where up to four connected cameras can be seen on one interface screen. This is live, full-motion video.”
