Naim Audio, the British hi-fi specialist with 47 years of audio expertise, has announced native Qobuz support for its Mu-so 2nd Generation family of wireless speakers. Enabled via a free over-the-air firmware upgrade, the integration will enable seamless access to Qobuz streaming services – including true high-resolution music streaming – from within the Naim control app. The update will be rolled out to all Mu-so Qb 2ndย Generation units from June 15th, with Mu-so 2ndย Generation users being able to update from Wednesday, June 17.
Qobuz offers a comprehensive CD-quality music catalog, and a large selection of albums in true high-resolution studio quality. Its streaming services are currently available in 12 countries, including the U.S., U.K., Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg.
The Mu-so 2nd Generation family update means high-resolution Qobuz music streaming will be natively available across Naimโs full range of latest-generation streaming products; the Uniti Atom, Star and Nova systems, plus ND5 XS2, NDX 2 and ND 555 network players, which received an update back in February.
To enjoy Qobuz streaming services, users will need a Qobuz subscription: 30-day free trials are available via a link in the Naim control app, which is available for iOS and Android devices.
โItโs great to release another free update to our music-streaming family,โ says Charlie Henderson, managing director, Naim.
โNaim owners can now seamlessly stream Qobuzโs high-resolution music offering to any or all of a wide range of products, from our entry-level Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation right through to our flagship ND 555 network player.โ
