Reviving the legendary amplifier brands Hafler and Dynaco, Radial Engineering its leveraging its long history of developing products for professional musicians to provide pros and consumers with a new generation of Hafler and Dynaco amps.

Announcing the launch of the new Hafler CI series, Hafler is addressing the needs of the modern A/V market through the introduction of three multichannel amplifiers that are designed for whole-house audio applications.

“As you know Hafler has been in the amp business for over 60 years and our engineering team has been developing amplifiers going back to the 1980s,” points out Kevin Knoll, senior engineer, Hafler. “After much discussion with our reseller partners, it only seemed natural that we come out with amps that address the growing demand for multiroom amplifiers for use in smart homes, restaurants, social houses and community centers. Hafler brings several important attributes to market, including innovative designs with real-world contractor friendly solutions and unparalleled reliablity so that the contractor is not going back to make costly after-sale service calls.”

The three new products include the six-channel CI-6120, the eight-channel CI-855 and the 12-channel CI-1255. Hafler states each of the amps share similarities such as physical dimensions—3.5-inch tall, 17-inches wide, and a depth of nearly 12 inches—as well as other features such as RCA inputs and all-channel buses.

The amps feature Class A/B circuit topologies, Hush-Tone fan cooling, rear-panel controls, signal status LEDs and phoenix connectors. All three amps utilize Hafler's ecoSYSTEM circuit that shuts the amp off when it's not in use for a minute. The circuit also automatically restarts within 10 milliseconds to conveniently conserve power consumption for users.

The CI-6120 produces 120-watts per channel to three stereo zones. The CI-855 produces 55-watts per channel to four stereo zones, and the channels seven and eight are bridgeable to produce a mono channel that delivers 120 watts into an 8-ohm load.

The CI-1255 also produces 55-watts per channel to six stereo zones, and channels 11 and 12 also bridge to produce a more powerful mono channel.

All three amps incorporate Hafler's Moniport plug-in module that integrators can use to add functions such as Euroblock connectors, Jensen-transformer isolated inputs or a digital Dante network card to connect the amps to Ethernet hubs.
