Chamberlain Group has announced the myQ Secure View 3-in-1 Smart Lock, a front-door device that combines a smart lock, video doorbell, and camera into a single product. The launch represents the company’s most significant expansion beyond garage-door access, extending the myQ platform to the front door as part of a broader home access and monitoring strategy.
According to the company, the myQ Secure View integrates a camera directly into the lock to enable what it describes as a two-second unlock speed while providing continuous visual monitoring of the entryway. The device combines a smart lock with a 2K HDR video doorbell, color night vision, and biometric access capabilities. Users can enter the home using face recognition, fingerprint authentication, a PIN, the myQ mobile app, or a traditional physical key.
The combination of capabilities into one device strikes a common theme among smart device manufacturers: simplicity and ease of use. Other smart lock manufacturers are taking similar approaches by combining access control and security functions into one device.
“Our customers have trusted myQ to secure their garages for years, and now we’re bringing that same reliability and intelligence to the front door with one simple, powerful device,” said Jeff Meredith, CEO of Chamberlain Group, in the announcement. He added that the company’s focus is on delivering intelligent access that adapts to everyday living.
According to the company, the product is powered by myQ AI software, which supports smart detection for people, vehicles, animals, packages, and general motion. The company says these capabilities are designed to reduce false alerts and enable automated security actions. Through a proprietary Smart Secure feature, the system can automatically unlock the door when a recognized person approaches or lock it if an unrecognized individual is detected while the door is unlocked.
The myQ Secure View 3-in-1 Smart Lock is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 140°F and uses a rechargeable lithium battery rated for up to six months of use per charge. Chamberlain Group also highlights ecosystem compatibility, noting that the lock can integrate with other myQ products, including garage door openers, the Smart Garage Video Keypad, Outdoor Battery Camera, and myQ Chime, allowing users to manage access points through a single app.
Availability for the myQ Secure View 3-in-1 Smart Lock begins January 6, 2026, for existing myQ users, with general availability starting January 13 via myQ.com and select retail partners.
