The majority of Savant’s GE-branded lighting solutions are available in the DIY market for consumers to purchase from retailers, but Savant is introducing smart lighting and shades designed specifically for the custom install channel via the GE Proseo line of lighting and shading products. The company first announced the new line at CEDIA Expo 2024.

Sharp to Begin Making TiVo OS-Powered TVs for U.S. Market

TiVo OS’ introduction to the U.S. market has been a long time coming, with more than 30 brands in European markets– including Bush, Daewoo, Digihome, Panasonic, Sharp, Telefunken, and Vestelas–currently using the smart TV operating system. Xperi previously said it would announce U.S. smart TVs powered by TiVo by the end of 2024, so this news comes just a bit late, but in time for CES 2025, where the company will be exhibiting at West Hall #5840.

Shelly’s Gen4 Series Adds First Ever Touchscreen Control Panel for Better Automations

Shelly’s Wall Display X2 is a 6.95-inch touchscreen control panel that manages lighting, fixtures and other smart home experiences, marking the first smart home control panel that the company has ever produced. The device comes with built-in relay functionality and power monitoring, as well as temperature, humidity and light sensors to be leveraged in climate control automations. Users can also create custom scenes from the X2 interface, making it easier for both installers and homeowners to fine tune preferred home settings.

Samsung says Eclipsa Audio is designed to give creators the ability to adjust audio data such as the location and intensity of sounds, along with spatial reflections, to create a three-dimensional sound experience. Samsung says it is the first company to adopt Eclipsa Audio, bringing the technology to displays like the Crystal UHD series and the company’s flagship Neo QLED 8K models.
