Sargent & Greenleaf (S&G) is now officially incorporated into the ASSA ABLOY Group portfolio, the company reports.

Why Integrators Should Take Note

Founded in 1857 and headquartered in Nicholasville, Kentucky, Sargent & Greenleaf is a global developer of high-security locking solutions, serving customers across government, financial services, commercial, and industrial markets.

The company was acquired by ASSA ABLOY in December, 2025 and joins the likes of Level Lock in ASSA ABLOY’s broader portfolio of security and access control solutions.

What Happens Now

Now that Sargent & Greenleaf is part of the ASSA ABLOY family of brands, the company will continue to manufacture in Nicholasville, Kentucky, where it has operated for more than 50 years.

The company stresses that the integration into Assa Abloy does not change its long-standing commitment to its Kentucky manufacturing operations, workforce or the local community that has played a vital role in the company’s success.

At the same time, with the support of ASSA ABLOY Americas, Sargent & Greenleaf states it is well positioned to accelerate growth, enhance service capabilities and expand its global footprint

Since joining ASSA ABLOY, the Sargent & Greenleaf team has focused on alignment, collaboration, and long-term growth, reinforcing its commitment to delivering its security solutions for decades to come.

“Becoming part of ASSA ABLOY represents more than a milestone for Sargent & Greenleaf—it accelerates our ability to innovate at a global scale,” said Brian Leary, Group General Manager of Sargent & Greenleaf.

“With ASSA ABLOY’s investment, technology leadership, and global reach behind us, we are uniquely positioned to advance secure access solutions while preserving the reliability, relationships, and trust our customers have relied on for more than 168 years.”
