Home Systems Plus – There wasn’t a place to go in 1994 for security dealers who wanted to become home-automation specialists. Arius, a one-time giant security distributor, launched the first smart-home distribution business for the trade, and created a successful school for technical training. Launching HSP at Arius was CEO Ken Moyes and marketing manager Julie Jacobson, who went on to found EH Publishing. (Electronic House magazine, 1994)
