Legrand | AV is hitting CEDIA Expo 2022 following a six-city residential roadshow, and the company has mapped out some important stops within its booth (19035) at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. During the Sept. 29 – Oct. 1 tradeshow, integrators will be able to experience home vignettes and lifestyle areas featuring smart home AV and resimercial solutions from Chief, Da-Lite, Legrand Shading Systems, Luxul, Middle Atlantic Products, On-Q, Sanus and Vantage. At CEDIA Expo, Legrand | AV will reveal a unique home theater offering: Da-Lite‘s new cable-drop feature, SightLine. Available with Da-Lite’s tried-and-true Tensioned Advantage electric screen, SightLine gives the impression of a floating screen.
A suspension system is packed into the electric screen’s single-roller design, featuring three or four cables that are virtually undetectable when lowered and that eliminate the black border above the projection screen.

What’s more, for a fast, hassle-free experience, installers no longer have to measure and specify drop distance when ordering. The cables allow the screen to be adjusted to any drop distance, up to 70 inches between the ceiling and the top of the screen.
In addition, Da-Lite will showcase its alternative to challenging wired screen installations with the Tensioned Designer Contour with Agility Battery Motor. It provides the benefits of an electric screen but flexibility of wire-free installation, the company says.
Available in diagonals up to 110 inches in 16:9 HDTV aspect ratio and 113 inches in 16:10 wide format and up to 16K-ready screen surfaces, it is ideal for installations or where flexibility is required to retrofit historic homes or environments where wiring electricity is prohibitive.
Designed to provide flexible viewing options for large flat screens, the Sanus VLT7 Advanced Tilt 4D Premium TV wall mount employs advanced tilt technology.
With 6.8 inches of extension, it allows even the largest TVs to be tilted in four directions without limitations — not only up and down but left and right. The extension offers a larger tilt range, eliminating the problem of large TVs installed on traditional tilting mounts from hitting the wall.
Addressing wireless audio trends, Sanus will showcase its WSS52 Sonos Five and Sonos PLAY:5 stand and WSSATM1 Extendable Soundbar TV mount for the Sonos Arc Soundbar.
The WSS52 securely holds the Sonos Five or PLAY:5 in vertical or horizontal orientation in an anodized aluminum design while placing the speaker at an ideal listening height. It’s available in black or white to match the Sonos Five, and installers can complete the seamless look, free of cables, with the Press Fit cable management technology, which secures and conceals cords down the back of the stand.
Developed in partnership with Sonos, the Sanus WSSATM1 Soundbar Bracket for Sonos Arc is compatible with and attaches directly to most TV mounts from other brands, including full-motion mounts.
Infrastructure: Storage, Cable Management, Networking and Power
Level up the organization of cables and devices with new options for On-Q enclosures, including the Forward Keyhole Post Clips and Small Device Mounting Clamps, designed using Forward Technology for a quick and easy install.
On-Q will also show its 9- and 17-inch Dual-Purpose In-Wall Enclosures, to provide in-wall storage of AV devices behind mounted TVs or for structured wiring organization and distribution in new construction and retrofit installations.
Made in the USA, they’re engineered out of Wi-Fi transparent material for uninterrupted control of entertainment devices stored inside, such as a Samsung One Connect Box, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, small network switches, and more. They include plentiful knockouts for cable management and power and an enclosure cover, trim ring, and drywall clips.
Middle Atlantic Products power and rack solutions will be highlighted.
Featuring six surge-protected outlets, with three connected to a battery backup system, the Structured Wiring UPS UPS-SC600 is a compact solution ideal for protecting electronics during a power loss or surge event. NEXSYS combines power distribution and power backup into one comprehensive, reliable power platform for AV systems.
In addition, Middle Atlantic’s racks will be in the McIntosh Labs sponsored sound room.
Booth visitors will see Luxul‘s networking solutions in action. Luxul’s Epic Mesh combines simplicity of a traditional mesh system with features built for the custom installer. Its built-in ProWatch+ allows for remote monitoring and management of all connected network devices, saving installers time and money by reducing truck rolls.
Its 4×4 backhaul means better communication between nodes, providing less network congestion and faster Wi-Fi speeds, according to the company.
Luxul’s SW-510/610 Series PoE+ managed switches provide flexibility as each switch features a large PoE+ budget and the ability to be aggregated together, allowing installers to mix and match models based on project needs. Plus, each model is integrated with ProWatch and includes PoE Self-Healing.
Additionally, installers can clean up work-from-home cable and charger clutter with Chief‘s KoncÄ«s Charging Hub. It brings elegant and convenient charging options to the company’s KoncÄ«s Monitor Arms. The hub features USB-A and USB-C charging ports for desktop charging of personal devices such as mobile phones and tablets.
