At CEDIA Expo 2022 in Dallas, Crestron Electronics will demonstrate the latest investment and developments made to the Crestron Home OS platform, its premier smart home operating system, by bringing it to connected home professionals. While it may seem like Crestron Home has been out for some time, the Expo will still mark its hands-on debut for many integrators and Crestron is excited to showcase its booth at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Sept. 29-Oct. 1.
Not only that, but with the pandemic-interrupted schedule of the last couple of years, this also marks Crestron’s return to an in-person CEDIA Expo for the first time since 2015; the company was all set to do so back in 2020 before Covid turned it into a virtual event, while last year’s show was impacted by the Delta variant.
Since its launch, the award-winning Crestron Home OS has continued to expand with hundreds of updates, interoperability with industry-leading partners, and is continuing to provide market-leading solutions that curate unique and customized environments for clients.
“CEDIA Expo will be the first time many home technology professionals have had a chance to experience Crestron Home first-hand at a major tradeshow. Crestron Home has reimagined the way dealers approach the installation and configuration process of highly coveted Crestron systems while maintaining the customized control that homeowners demand,” says John Clancy, Executive VP, Residential, Crestron.
“As a result, Crestron Home is a platform that can scale with any project and deliver the same bespoke Crestron experience everyone expects.”

The entire Crestron booth (#16017) is powered by the Crestron Home OS: every demo and every solution.
“We are at CEDIA Expo to emphasize our deep commitment to providing solutions that our dealers can build their business on,” notes Clancy. “Crestron Home is the core of the connected smart home and is a powerful solution that we continue to encourage home technology professionals to take advantage of.”
Crestron Home Stays Updated on Trends
Crestron Home is continuously evolving to empower dealers to elevate their projects and address feedback from their experiences in the field, the company says.
At CEDIA Expo, Crestron will demonstrate many new approaches that dealers can take to maximize the benefits of the Crestron Home OS, including simple integrations with the latest product launches, like the 4-Series DIN Rail Control System for the OS, which aligns to a major update bringing multiprocessor support to the Crestron Home platform.
Dealers will also have the opportunity to get hands-on demos with other new products, such as Crestron Network Power Controllers that work with the OS Device Health Dashboard, the latest security integrations from new partners, and much more.
Crestron will also highlight new ways for integrators to take advantage of the resimercial opportunities presented in large multidwelling unit (MDU) projects.
Crestron Home is a secure and complete platform for these properties, whether dealers are doing one unit or hundreds. Crestron Home simplifies the deployment of replicating units, offers easy ways for clients to upgrade, and brings seamless integration for unique management and experiences such as calling the valet or admitting guests.
There are a number of classes during Expo, including An Introduction to Crestron Home, to get company owners, sales teams, and technicians up to speed. Attendees at CEDIA Expo can also register for How to Customize Crestron Home for Your Clients to learn more about adding it to their portfolios.
Personalized Control for Lighting and Health & Wellness
This year, Crestron rolled out new LED Light Fixtures that deliver human-centric lighting for every lifestyle and application. The company will show personalized lighting control for circadian rhythm, Crestron SolarSync integration to regulate indoor lighting to match the intensity, and color control to accentuate art and lifestyle spaces.
Crestron’s class on Fully Tunable LED Lighting Powered by Crestron Home OS will help dealers get up to speed on the burgeoning market.
Additionally, attendees can see demos of how the OS enables customer control both Crestron and third-party devices and systems such as lighting, HVAC, energy management, and air purifications to create their perfect oasis.
Dealers will be able to see how these various solutions, when controlled via a single platform, can accentuate the home, and enhance everyday lifestyles.
Crestron Home brings an end-to-end control and configuration solution that brings in partner technologies, which will be explored in the session, Health & Wellness in the Home – A Technology Overview with Kelly Eager of Delos.
Evolving Ecosystem of Third-Party Devices
A vast product library works natively with the control platform, but they are far from the only products that can be controlled through a system. As an open ecosystem that includes Crestron solutions and thousands of third-party devices, there is no end to how far dealers can customize the home and they’ll see that first-hand at CEDIA Expo booth #16017.
Throughout the booth, Crestron will showcase a host of new third-party integrations, from kitchen appliances, door entry solutions, NFT artwork, energy management, keypads, and so much more. A complete list of all available integrations can be found on the “Works with Crestron Home” page.
