CEDIA Expo 2022 is being staged in Dallas this fall, and custom integrator attendees will experience no shortage of innovation – like the slew of scheduling going on at the Innovation Hub.
The Innovation Hub at this year’s CEDIA Expo is being described as “a programming feature focused on emerging technologies and industry-trending presentations from show exhibitors.” The Expo will take place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Sept. 29 – Oct. 2 (education starts Sept. 28).
The Innovation Hub will feature topics focused on resimercial, work from home, outdoor living, lighting, security solutions, and many others.
The special section is designed as an all-in-one platform to provide attendees with insights surrounding cutting-edge technologies and emerging trends. The Innovation Hub will present more than 25 sessions over three days.
Industry influencers will guide the daily programming, which will begin with data from the CE Pro “Deep Dive” research on channel crossover and resimercial shifts.

“The Innovation Hub will feature powerful programming on new technology and emerging trends to provide insightful opportunities for integrators, designers, builders, and residential channel professionals to drive the business forward,” says Jason McGraw, CTS, group vice president for CEDIA Expo and KBIS, Emerald.
Key Growth Areas Identified for Integrator Opportunities
CEDIA Expo has identified key growth areas for the residential technology industry to develop sessions focused on emerging technologies and trending market segments. The crossover between residential and commercial integration, coined resimercial, has created an increased opportunity.
Emerging technology application segments, including work from home, outdoor living, lighting, and security, are offering new business expansion opportunities. To support these new growth categories, CEDIA Expo has created the Innovation Hub specifically designed to present technology application case studies to help illuminate new business and emerging technology areas for CEDIA Expo attendees.
IMCCA (Interactive Multimedia & Collaborative Communications Alliance), a supporting association partner, will assist CEDIA Expo with developing, organizing and moderating content session discussions on unified communications (UC) and work from home (WFH) topics.
Overall, the tradeshow will have a whopping 150+ education sessions for this year’s installment in Dallas. The keynote is being delivered by Guts+Data CEO Greg Durkin, about how integrators can be heroes – and earn extra revenue – for customers who are overwhelmed by the glut of content out there.
Individuals interested in attending CEDIA Expo 2022 from Sept. 29 – Oct. 1, 2022, in Dallas, can register online. Non-CEDIA members should register before July 29 to receive Super Saver prices for show floor and training passes.
