Offering homeowners an affordable way to entertain themselves, as well as large gatherings at their homes, Sony has announced its new SRS-XV800 speaker.
Designed to serve users in a number of ways, the global electronics company’s new speaker solution allows homeowners to upgrade their movie watching and TV watching experience or host fun parties with room-filling sound. Sony states the SRS-XV800 features the company’s Omni-directional Party Sound that is designed to disperse audio content throughout a room.
The SRS-XV800 speaker incorporates a total of five tweeters that are located on front and rear panels of the products, and the tweeters are augmented by Sony’s X-Balanced Speaker Units. Sony explains the X-Balanced Speaker Units employ a near-rectangular diaphragm that is said to maximize the area of the diaphragm. The result the company emphasizes is the speaker can produce deep, punchy bass with less distortion, as well as increased midrange and high-frequency clarity.
Sony also points out the SRS-XV800 speaker provides users with as much as 25 hours of battery-powered listening time, and the product offers a quick-charging feature that if the speaker is running out of battery power, the quick-charge feature can provide up to three hours of play time from a 10-minute charge.
The company adds the speaker also incorporates wheels to allow users to wheel the unit around, and the speaker provides a choice of built-in colored lighting options to match a particular theme.
