CE Pro 100 Names Top TV Display Brands

Sony overtakes Samsung for the No. 1 spot. LG takes the number three position with a jump that may be the result of its OLED displays.

CE Pro's annual Brand Analysis study surveys the top 100 highest-revenue residential integration firms, otherwise known as the CE Pro 100, to determine their preferred brands in the categories of audio, video, home automation, networking, lighting control, security and more.

In this category-by-category breakdown, senior editor Bob Archer delivers an in-depth look at the most frequently used manufacturers in 55 product categories. The numbers associated with each manufacturer reflect the number of CE Pro 100 dealers using that brand.

The TV category continues to consolidate.

Sony and Samsung continue to be the major flat-panel manufacturers with more than eight in 10 CE Pro 100 dealers using their products. However, this year Sony overtook Samsung to claim the No. 1 spot

LG takes the number three position with a jump that may be the result of its OLED displays, which are hailed as some of the best performing products in the video industry.
