LG's soundbars lineup for 2020 includes the SN11RG (top) and SN10YG. LG Electronics has announced pricing and availability of its 2020 soundbar lineup, led by CES 2020 Innovation Award-winning premium LG SN11RG and SN9YG models.
Featuring advanced audio performance that included collaboration with acclaimed British manufacturer Meridian Audio, the new soundbar lineup has been designed to match up with sleek LG OLED and LG NanoCell 4K and 8K Ultra HD TVs. The companies previewed the soundbars just prior to CES 2020.
Available through U.S. retailers and custom integrators starting this month, the 2020 soundbar lineup is composed of eight efficient models ranging from 380 to 770 watts.
Five new “premium” models (SN11RG, SN10YG, SN9YG, SN8YG and SN7Y) combine Meridian technology, Dolby Atmos, DTS-X and H-iRes Audio (up to 24bit/192KHz) for highly realistic and more immersive listening and viewing experiences, LG states.
These soundbars all incorporate upfiring speakers to deliver a 360-degree sonic experience.

Meridian Influence, AI Calibration, eARC & More
Meridian Audio worked with LG, as part of the companies’ longstanding relationship, on using technologies that combine advanced signal processing and refined hardware design resulting in an expanded soundstage with greater height, width and depth, according to LG. These models also include 4K HDR pass through via HDMI.
The SN8YG, SN9YG, SN10YG and SN11RG offer advanced connectivity through eARC, allowing for easy connection, better sound quality and convenient control with the TV remote.
AI Room Calibration employs spatial awareness technology to measure a room’s unique acoustic characteristics. It then balances the soundbar’s audio settings to the environment for immersive sound with a more accurate sweet spot.
With the Google Assistant built-in, these four models also offer the convenience of AI smart connectivity and voice recognition without the need for an extra device, LG notes.
Other 2020 LG soundbar models deliver a variety of sizes, power output, attractive design and great sound quality. All 2020 LG soundbars are compatible with the optional SPK8 Wireless Rear Speaker Kit, for an easy and convenient way to add rear surround channels without the hassle of running wires to the back of the room.
