BenQ, a popular global manufacturer of projection products, has announced its new TK710 and TK710STi projectors.
The reasonably priced projectors are rated to produce up to 3,200 lumens of brightness, and BenQ states its latest projectors are capable of reproducing 95% of the Rec. 709 color gamut standard. BenQ also states that both projectors are compatible with HDR (high dynamic range) content, and through the TK710 and TK710STI’s brightness capabilities, integrators can install the products in a range of home environments to support activities that range from traditional broadcast television and streaming media, to gaming and the playback of physical media.
Supporting the products’ gaming capabilities, the company specifies the 4K UHD projectors to provide gamers with a low input lag time of just 16.7ms with 4K at 60Hz and 4.2ms with 1080p at 240Hz.
Driving the brightness levels of the TK710 and TK710STi projectors are laser-based light engines that are said to provide up to 20,000 hours of operational life.
Explaining how its new projectors complement dedicated theater installations and setup in multipurpose living room environments, BenQ notes the TK710 offers a throw distance of 100 inches at 8.4 feet and 120 inches when placed 10 feet from a projection screen. The projector provides installers with a +10% lens shift and specialized HDR Game modes for PRG and FPS.
The TK710STi projector provides the ability to deliver 100-inch images from distances of five feet and 120 inches from six feet. The projector also includes an Android TV dongle with Netflix to offer users turnkey streaming options.
