CE Pro's sister publication across the pond, Essential Install, is hosting its annual Essential Install Live! (EI Live!) smart building tradeshow on May 10 and 11 in Sandown Park in Surrey, England.
One of the highlights of the show is the AWE Village, now in its sixth year running at EI Live! Put on by the European distributor AWE, the Village showcases the latest products and technologies in the distributor's portfolio. There's a good amount of carry-over to U.S. products as well.
“AWE exhibited at the first EI Live! show six years ago and has been there ever since,” says Stuart Tickle, managing director of AWE. “The show is a very good platform to put what we do, the brands we represent and the evolving technologies in front of a wider audience than we would otherwise be able to capture.”
Check out what's being featured at EI Live! and in the AWE Village.
Denon HEOS
This year, Denon will show a range of new products from the Heos platform, including the new HEOS Bar, described as a “superb soundbar that delivers exceptional performance” and the HEOS Subwoofer.
AWE will also showcase the HEOS AVR, which provides the ability to deliver a surround sound experience without many of the usually associated cables.
UHD Gallery
AWE is one of the key suppliers of high-end TVs into the smart home sector, offering brands from the likes of LG, Loewe, Panasonic, Samsung and Sony. Visitors will be able to see the latest technologies from all the major brands, with a particular interest expected on the latest OLED TVs.
Samsung will be showcasing its QLED screens, while Sony will focus on its BRAVIA A1 Series. LG will highlight its SIGNATURE OLED TV, elsewhere on the stand Loewe will be discussing its OLED product range, while Panasonic will be looking at its latest products to hit the market.
Controls Zone
The main focus in the controls zone will be URC. The company recently launched a number of new products in the Total Control range, including the TDC-7100 table-top controller and TKP-7600 in-wall touchscreen focus on performance, design and efficiency.
AWE will also be showcasing the URC MX HomePro. Described as “simple, reliable, inexpensive and powerful,” the new URC MX HomePro is a cloud-based smart home control system that is designed to be a starting point for customers looking for single room AV control.
Also in the controls zone will be a wireless shading demo from QMotion, window treatments from Silent Gliss, video distribution options from HDAnywhere, while a Philips Dynalite demo will also be on show.
Epson Home Cinema
The Epson home cinema zone will include the Epson EH-LS10500 3LCD Reflective Laser Projector, as well as other home cinema projectors from Epson.
To represent a true to life cinema room, the setup will also feature Draper projection screens, including the ReAct ambient light-rejecting fabric, speakers from KEF and Marantz amplification.
Audio Zone
KEF will be headlining the audio zone with a product display that focusses on its custom install speaker range. The speaker manufacturer will also showcase the THX certified range, including in-ceiling speakers, in-wall speakers and in-wall subwoofers. Kinetik will also have a presence on this stand with its range of KISP speakers.
Solution Zone
In the solutions zone, AWE will be introducing a range of new installation packages to help speed up the specifying stage for installers, as they include all the necessary equipment in one easy to handle package. The new packages focus on projectors, pre/power amps, control, cinema lighting and install essentials. These additions support the existing packages for home cinema and multi-room audio.
This zone will also be the home to Sanus. AWE says the Sanus Black Series of purpose-designed TV mounts tick all the right boxes in terms of functionality, aesthetics and ease of installation for the home technology market. With popular sizes constantly shifting, these mounts can support TVs ranging between 37 inches to 100 inches.
