Sennheiser has entered the unified communications A/V bar market through the announcement of new all-in-one devices for small and mid-sized meeting rooms and collaboration spaces called TeamConnect Bar Solutions.

Part of the Sennheiser TeamConnect Family, the TeamConnect (TC) Bar Solutions were introduced during an exclusive virtual launch event during the InfoComm 2023 show in Orlando, and will be showcased to the attendees of the 2023 InterOp Tokyo event.

The company explains its new TeamConnect Bar products provide options for small (TeamConnect Bar S) or mid-sized (TeamConnect Bar M) meeting and collaboration spaces. According to the company, its TC Bar Solutions are problem solvers that offers benefits such as easy setup, brand agnostic integration, easy management and control, high video quality, security and sustainability. ​

Sennheiser points out the TC Bar S features four microphones and two speakers, while TC Bar M has six microphones and four speakers. ​ The company says both easily integrate with any meeting platform and can be further enhanced with other compatible products, including other Sennheiser products.

TeamConnect Bars Collaboration Products Complement a Variety of Spaces

Sennheiser states its TC Bar Solutions provide the flexibility to allow customers to choose the right video conferencing device for their meeting room size. The global audio company explains that dealers can easily integrate the conferencing bars into a room design through multiple mounting options such as wall mount, VESA mount, tabletop or freestanding. The option of using Dante for adding extension mics and/or a 2nd external USB camera make the device even more scalable Sennheiser stresses.

The German company says the collaboration bars’ full-range stereo speakers and passive radiators help the products to produce natural speech with high levels of intelligibility. Sennheiser also states the products’ integrated beamforming technology enables seamless transition between presenters and offers freedom of movement and configuration within conference rooms and huddle spaces.

Some of the other technologies the TeamConnect Bars utilize include built-in DSP, as well as the option to adjust audio settings via Sennheiser’s Control Cockpit that is said to give users the opportunity to further optimize room acoustics. The TC Bars also come with an automatic conference & music mode switch to provide the best audio to match the content.

Moreover, the TeamConnect Bar Solutions feature the latest meeting technologies to enhance modern hybrid meetings and lectures. The all-in-one conferencing devices’ 4K Ultra HD camera is augmented by AI features like “Autoframing” and “Person Tiling,” to enable all remote participants to clearly see everyone in the room.

Sennheiser also emphasizes the collaboration bars provide security provisions to protect conferencing sessions.  TC Bar Solutions follow industry best security practices, and their configuration is password protected. The communication to the Sennheiser Control Cockpit, as well as third-party media control systems, is encrypted using industry standard Transport Layer Security 1.2.

Lastly, the TC Bars also support IEEE 802.1x network authentication, and for additional privacy, a lens cap is included.
