We recently caught up with Jeff Goldstein, Head Of Sales Custom Installation Channel at Sony Electronics, to get a sense of what integrators can expect from a meeting with Sony at CEDIA 2022.
CE Pro: Is there anything particularly interesting or fun that you’re doing in your approach to the show this year?
Jeff Goldstein: Well, as a matter of fact, you know, we’ve gotten very adept at taking our booth virtual. And for the past couple of years, what we’ve done is actually built our booth in our offices in San Diego and broadcast from there, we felt it was really important to bring the show to the folks that aren’t going to make it out to the show.
And so we actually are going to have a broadcast studio within the convention center. And we’ll be broadcasting three times a day, on Thursday and Friday of the show. And, you know, our dealers will be able to register for, you know, to for access to that stream, and basically get a tour of what’s going on in the booth and have questions answered live. So we’re actually bringing our CEDIA LIVE show, you know, along with us, even though we’re doing the in-person show.
We have such a plethora of new television technologies in our lineup this year, and it’s really important that the integrator understands when to use each one, they all have their benefits for different types of rooms. And so make sure you get educated on which one to use.
