One of the drawbacks of the lack of in-person shows during the last year is that integrators and manufacturers haven’t had an easy time connecting with each other for in-person demos. Thankfully, with CEDIA Expo 2021 fast approaching, companies like Hisense have decided to showcase all of its latest TVs and projectors live on the show floor.
To learn more details, CE Pro recently spoke with Ken Welty, director of Laser TV at Hisense, to see what Hisense is planning to show during the event, learn why the company is so excited to return to CEDIA Expo, and much more.
Tell us what you have on tap for CEDIA Expo in terms of both education and on the exhibit floor?
We’re excited to announce the expansion of our line of high-quality TV and display offerings. We’ll be showcasing a few of these new offerings on the exhibit floor including the L9G TriChroma Laser TV, a 3000 Lumen ultra-short throw projection TV with premium features such as Dolby Atmos, High-Speed HDMI, HDR10/HLG Filmmaker Mode, and WiSA certification.
In terms of education, we’re looking forward to sharing how Laser TV is on the forefront of TV and display innovation and why it makes sense for consumers to purchase as we continue to see TVs grow in both size and quality. We’re happy to be a part of the innovators offering alternatives that we believe will be commonplace within the next couple of years as more consumers seek out the cinema experience from the comfort of their home. We believe education on these technologies is crucial for the custom installers, dealers, and consumers who attend CEDIA and look forward to kicking off these conversations at the event.
What are you most looking forward to about getting back together in person?
It’s one thing to talk about the new innovations in TV and display technology but it’s another thing entirely to see them in action. For example, we’ll be able to showcase our L9G TriChroma Laser TV and let CEDIA attendees see the advancements in color, sound, and picture that it produces live. It’s exciting to be able to speak to consumers and dealers face to face and allow them to see the quality of our products for themselves. There is nothing like face to face conversation when it comes to topics of innovation. It also allows us to directly engage with those interested in our products, answer questions they have, and dive into deeper discussions about the future of TV and display technology.
What is the one question dealers should ask when they come to your booth?
What is Laser TV and why do we need it? I’m sure many at the event will want to understand the transition to this type of technology and why it makes sense not only for Hisense, but for consumers seeking out quality displays.
How does your product line fit into today’s residential technology landscape?
With so many upgrading their homes as a result of the pandemic and the increasing investment in home entertainment, we feel our new and existing products make it easier for consumers to find displays that not only fit what they envision for their home, but also offer the high-quality in-home cinema experience so many are seeking. As we continue to expand our product offerings, we hope to have an option for every type of buyer and that’s what’s most important to consumers today.
What is your booth number and website where people can learn more about your company during the event or remotely?
