Integrators often rely on their trusted distributors for more than simply acquiring product. As a great reflection of how distributors are assisting dealers these days, North Carolina-based 21st Century Distributing reports that its recent annual Virtual Roadshow was a big success.
The uniquely interactive three-day event drew hundreds of integrators who participated in 30 live training sessions, explored virtual booths, and enjoyed a food court with daily lunch provided by Grub Hub, according to 21st Century Distributing VP of Marketing Mark Garijanian.
Many top manufacturers including Samsung, Sony, Sonos, and Lutron, to name a few, contributed to what Garijanian deems “one of the most technically advanced events in the industry.”
The Virtual Roadshow is developed in-house by 21st Century’s IT team and gives integrators the ability to experience a CEDIA Expo-like event all from the comfort of their home or business.

Manufacturers are offered sponsor levels tied to booth size, as well as live training options during the three days. Integrators can achieve “Roadshow Points” based on participation in live training sessions and time spent in vendor booths, which are timed.

The live events are also recorded so dealers can rewatch them for even more points. There is even a virtual arcade in the show lobby with TopGolf and other fun games to earn points.
“We feel that this is the future of events in our industry,” says Don Vicini, CEO of the PowerHouse Alliance member distributor. “Our team worked tirelessly to make our Virtual Roadshow a success since its inception in 2020, and we couldn’t be happier with the turnout and growth every year!”
Once the event is completed, 21st Century Distributing raffles off grand prizes such as TVs, E-Bikes, and gaming systems, while participants can use their points toward products of their choosing. Over $75,000 worth of products and prizes were awarded during the three-day event, Garijanian notes.
With over 20% growth in participation and attendance this year, 21st Century plans to build off the 2023 Virtual Roadshow success next year and in the years to come, so dealers should be sure to check in with the distributor and mark it on the calendar for next year.
Serving the Southeast and Florida, 21st Century is headquartered in Garner, N.C., just outside Raleigh, and also has locations in Charlotte, N.C.; Atlanta; Orlando, Fla.; Nashville; and Pompano Beach, Fla.
