Spatial recently announced that it will be releasing a fully customizable soundscape library with over a million variations of biophilic audio for professionals designing and deploying workplace audio solutions.
Audio being the ever-present concern that it is with work (whether there’s too much noise or too little noise), we’ve had the pleasure of seeing a lot of innovation take place in this subcategory over the years. Namely, we’ve seen a lot of development and excitement in the creation of dynamic soundscapes.
Now, as a follow-up to the Spatial Space Kit, a turnkey solution that sought to simplify the deployment of hardware associated with immersive audio installation, the Spatial’s new library of Scene Actions, looks to simplify the design of these dynamic soundscapes for both professional and end users.
“With our new feature, Scene Actions, customers can easily customize any scene to create amazing immersive soundscapes, even without any sound design experience,” explains Thomas Hale, VP of Creative at Spatial.
“Our dynamic library blends captivating nature sounds and enchanting music, creating real life environments that promote productivity and reduce anxiety for employees. We believe that by harnessing the power of sound, businesses can create truly remarkable spaces that enhance the overall experience and wellbeing of their employees.”

Spatial’s Soundscape Library Make Immersive Audio Even More Accessible
As with most dynamic audio applications, Spatial’s Scene Actions aim to transform traditional environments into harmonious spaces that promote wellbeing, productivity, and creativity, while still adhering to the basic principles of sound masking for better noise cancellation.
According to Spatial, the soundscape library is the result of years of collaboration, with creative content experts and Spatial’s team of in-house sound designers having curated a comprehensive soundscape catalog that can cater to a wide range of environments and use cases within the commercial office.
While such a library can be seen as necessary for developing a non-repeating, biophilic audio experience, what’s noteworthy is how much more accessible Spatial is making it for AV professionals to design these soundscapes themselves. According to Spatial, users have access to over a million variations of scenes to mix and match to create what it calls the “optimal audio environment.”
Spatial is also making it so individual end users can have real-time control over the sound elements within the sonic landscape. Whether it’s adapting the soundscapes to different spaces, business needs, or budgets, Spatial’s Scene Actions are designed to allow for flexibility and versatility in developing dynamic audio solutions.
When paired with the Space Kit as an offering, Spatial also states that “business can enjoy the benefits of immersive soundscapes without the need for complex design or hardware integration.” Of course, that’s not to say that, integrators don’t have just as much to look forward to with these developments as well.
