CEDIA 2016 is coming to Dallas on September 13-17. CE Pro spoke to Kevin Zarow, Vice President and General Manager, D+M Group, about the company's plans for the show. D+M Group encompasses four CEDIA channel brands: Denon, Marantz, HEOS and Boston Acoustics.
What would you say to dealers who are already familiar with your product line?
Come on by. Our award-winning line-up continues to improve and we have a lot to talk about, all of it surrounding the Custom Integration Channel. The booth has been significantly upgraded and so has the theater. The demos will be great and the new products are worth the wait. We can’t wait to see you in Dallas.
What would you say to dealers who are stumbling across your company for the first time?
Check out our award-winning line of profitable, reliable and custom centric products. We have a wide range of products from AVRs to HIFI to Wireless Audio and more and they are designed to meet the needs of multiple customers in a variety of applications and jobs and all of the products are designed with the integrator in mind. We are very focused on customer service and dealer support and are looking for long term partners.
If an integrator stops by your booth with only 5 minutes to spare, what’s the one product he should examine or one question he should ask?
He or she should ask “Why HEOS?” and check out our four new products that integrate HEOS technology.
They should also check out the Denon AVRx4300H and AVRx6300H AV Receivers as well as the Marantz SR7011 AV Receiver and the Marantz AV7703 AV Preamp. From there, we’ll show them the entire HEOS line up and how they can (and will) increase their profitability.
What’s your most memorable CEDIA moment?
It is by far my favorite show and there are way too many memories to pick just one. I guess if I had to narrow it down, though, I’d say New Orleans because of the rain and flooding. It was insane!
Do you have any giveaways, contests or quirky features planned for CEDIA?
Stop by the booth and see! We have some great special that are specific to the show as well as other specials that extend beyond the show. All are geared towards extra profit for our CI Channel Partners.
Think of your closest competitor. What is one thing you do offer that they don’t?
It really depends on the category but for wireless audio, we offer specific products that are geared toward the integration channel. The HEOS Drive is the perfect example. I also think we offer a real partnership in terms of products, profit and support. Stop by the booth and see for yourself.
