How to Get a Free 3D Upgrade from DirecTV
You'll pay up to $300 to access DirecTV's new 3D channels ... unless you know the secret handshake.
If you want to view 3D channels through DirecTV, you’ll have to pay for it: $100 to lease a 21 Series (or higher) receiver and $200 for a new DVR.
Unless you know the magic word.
HD Guru Gary Merson reports that if you call DirecTV (800-513-5000) and ask for an upgrade to a 3D-compatible tuner, they will quote you the above prices. Just ask your friendly customer service rep if there are any special offers. If you’re a good customer, they’ll offer you a discount of up to 100%.
Won’t you look like a hero when you bring this offer to your customers?!

Merson, by the way, is the same guy who told us how to get free replacement TVs from Sony.
