URC is the “go-to” brand for many integrators that want reliable control solutions for their home system installations and the latest product from the company is the MX-490 handheld remote control.
The N.Y.-based custom electronics manufacturer says that its new remote control is capable of directly controlling every device within a home. The remote is capable of controlling as many as 48 devices via IR, and when the remote is used with a URC MRF-350 or MRF-260 base station, the MX-490 can control integrated systems through walls, through furniture doors, and even from an outdoor location.
URC points out that its new remote incorporates a 2-inch color LCD screen that can display up to six buttons per screen.
The new URC MX-490 handheld remote control unlike many of the remotes that are currently on the market eliminates the need for complex programming. URC emphasizes the professionals integrators can program its latest remote control directly without the need for software.
URC adds the MX-490 handheld remote control is powered by standard AA alkaline batteries to provide homeowners a convenient way to use the remote on a daily basis.
To the new handheld remote control from URC, along with the rest of its product line that includes the Total Control, the Complete Control and the Total Control Lite product lines will be on display at CEDIA 2022 to allow dealers to see the products in person. Integrators can visit the company at the upcoming CEDIA 2022 show in Dallas on Sept. 29 to Oct. 1 in booth #19002.
