Polk audio has introduced its first immersive soundbar solution: the Signa S4 soundbar system.
The newly launched soundbar offers homeowners the ability to deliver immersive Dolby Atmos object-based surround sound through its seven driver array, which includes a pair of upward firing transducers.
Polk Audio explains the Signa S4 soundbar also offers users the ability to up-mix non-Dolby Atmos content to deliver immersive listening experiences with a range of source material utilizing its height, surround and center-channel drivers.
According to the company, the Signa S4’s dedicated center channel is paired with its proprietary VoiceAdjust technology to improve dialog intelligibility to make sure that homeowners don’t miss a word of important movie, TV and video scenes.

Augmenting the soundbar, Polk Audio also includes a companion wireless subwoofer with the system. Polk Audio points out the wireless subwoofer automatically pairs with the soundbar upon startup, and it can be placed in a choice of locations within a range of 33 feet (10 meters).
Some of the other features the Signa S4 subwoofer system offers range from the company’s Bass Adjust and Night Mode options, as well as a choice of HDMI, digital optical or Aux-In inputs.
Additionally, the system also offers 8K video compatibility, HDMI eARC compatibility, and a low-profile industrial design that Polk says will complement today’s modern TV industrial designs.
