The mount and accessory equipment manufacturer SANUS has introduced its 8K Ultra High Speed and 4K Premium High Speed line of HDMI cables.
SANUS states the integrators can use this line of products to provide single-cable connectivity for a range of components such as cable/satellite set-top boxes (STB), streaming devices, Blu-ray disc and CD players, and gaming consoles. According to the Legrand brand, the 8K Ultra High Speed and 4K Premium High Speed cables are designed as rugged cabling solutions to deliver years of connectivity.
The 8K HDMI models are engineered to support 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz to enable quick refresh rates and high levels of resolution for activities such as gaming and live sports broadcasts. The HDMI 2.0 4K Premium High Speed HDMI cables transmit resolutions as high as 4K at 60Hz, and SANUS emphasizes that all of the cables feature low EMI cable designs and shielding to minimize interference from other types of signals.
SANUS also points out the 8K Ultra High Speed Cables offer Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) and Audio Return Channel (ARC) capabilities. All of the products offer the ability to support HDR, and audio formats such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
The company adds the cables are available in lengths that include 1-, 2- and 3-meters, and it offers an 8K in-wall rated 4-meter length version. In addition, the 4K models offer in-wall lengths of 5 meters and 7 meter versions.
