RUSHWORKS, a provider of technology for production, playback and streaming markets, has released the Residential Prompter Kit to help with today’s home-based Zoom-style meetings, presentations and other videoconferencing applications.
The kit complements the Flower Mound, Texas-based company’s RUSHPROMPTER software for Windows applications that’s available for download, trial and purchase ($99).
“The recent health crisis has compelled us to embrace technologies that enable many of us to work effectively from our homes. And it’s likely that our ‘new normal’ will see this trend expanding,” says RUSHWORKS president Rush Beesley.
“Whether you’re giving a prepared presentation through remote video collaboration with company employees or conducting an on-camera demo, using a teleprompter to keep your presentation on-point is often helpful, and enhances the impact of your message with eye-to-eye screen contact.”
The Kit includes a round base, 18-inch flexible arm, a spring clamp with reflective mirror and a light blocking hood.
Additionally, Beesley has developed a downloadable document (available on the company’s website) that defines four simple ways to improve how users look and sound for teleprompter sessions.
The Residential Prompter Kit is $295; and $545 with a 12-inch 1920×1080 HDMI monitor. A second base, 18-inch extension arm and gimbal mounting head for a small camcorder is $175.
