Updating two of its two channel products, Rotel has announced its new RC-1572MKII and RC-1590MKII stereo preamplifiers.
According to Rotel, both models feature a host of acoustic and performance upgrades that include key components such as coupling capacitors in the signal paths of the digital-to-analog converter (DAC) circuits, as well as new capacitors in the DAC power supply filters, and new resistors in the volume circuits.
Additionally, the new RC-1572MKII and RC-1590MKII stereo preamplifiers also provide 32-bit/384 DACs, MQA and MQA Studio support, certified Roon tested compatibility, and RS-232 and IP control options for control system integration.
Taking a closer look at the RC-1572MKII, Rotel explains the product incorporates a low-noise power supply section with an in-house made toroidal transformer.
Rotel’s reference level RC-MK1590MKII stereo preamplifier starts with a toroidal transformer that was made by Rotel. The transformers are physically and electrically isolated to provide dedicated analog and digital supply voltages to all of the preamplifier’s critical circuits through features such as low ESR slit-foil capacitors.
The RC-MK1590MKII stereo preamplifier also features XLR (balanced) and RCA (unbalanced) outputs that provides bi-amplification capabilities, and the preamp offers subwoofer options.
