Available from the company’s OSD Black brand, the new sub amplifier is said to able to deliver peak output levels of 1,000 watts. The new SAM500 Subwoofer Amplifier is rated to produce 500 watts of RMS power into 4-ohm loads, and the company states the amp is designed to accommodate subwoofers placed larger home spaces.
OSD Black points out that integrators can also use its new amplifier to drive 8-ohm passive subwoofers, and the amp provides 10 preprogrammed presets to help with the installation process and specific, optimized performance with speakers, soundbars or TVs.
