Keeping up with next-generation technologies, the electronics company AudioQuest has announced its new 48 and eARC-Priority Series HDMI cables.
AudioQuest (AQ) states that its new HDMI cables will help to deliver better audio from 2K- and 4K-based systems, and the cables are compliant with 8K video once the format becomes available.
According to the company, its Priority Series HDMI cables provide 48Gbps throughput through “precision and tighter manufacturing tolerances.”
The company explains the cables’ ability to support new HDMI features is made possible by upgrading the four balanced audio/video channels from six to 12Gbps. AudioQuest notes the Priority Series of products supports 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz.
AudioQuest adds the Priority Series cables also support high dynamic range (HDR) formats such as HDR10+ and Dolby Vision to maximize the quality of streaming services such as Netflix and Disney+.
Additionally, AudioQuest says all of the cables’ respective 19 conductors are “Direction Controlled” to dissipate noise to minimize the impact of RF, EMI and wireless noise that could impact signal quality.
