Sony, with its massive 29-foot CLEDIS (Crystal LED Display System) MicroLED display and myriad other displays, was voted the winner of the first-ever CEDIA Expo 2018 Best Booth Awards. It was this dedication to a flashy and fun booth design that helped earn Sony its Quest for Quality Award for Trade Show Presence this year, beating out Dish (silver) and Nortek (bronze).
The CEDIA Best Booths were chosen based on creativity, impact, and their ability to engage with attendees through live demos, educational presentations and other activities, with winners chosen by CEDIA Expo show management.
The Sony booth combined technology and design elements in an attractive way. The centerpiece 29-foot CLEDIS MicroLED display drew droves of integrators into the booth with its impressive in-your-face imagery.
Attendees could then move openly to see some of the other exciting Sony display technologies spread throughout the booth.
“At CEDIA Expo, we showcased our proprietary CLED display technology to garner ‘best of show’ honors for its breathtaking 220-inch picture,” says Frank Sterns, vice president, audio/video specialty & custom integration, Sony.
Sony Shows Dedication Toward Dealers
Sony also showed dedication toward its dealers, earning two Quest for Quality Awards in the category: a platinum for its dealer protection policies, and a gold for its dealer programs/incentives.
“Our ES products, built specifically for custom integration, come with class-leading warranties, 60-day A-stock advance exchange and a dedicated, U.S.-based support line,” says Sterns.
When it comes to the company's dealer programs, Sterns says, “Our award-winning CIS program for custom integrators delivers profitable products with cutting-edge performance, tightly controlled product distribution and best-in-class dealer support resources.

Sony won two other Quest for Quality Awards this year, a platinum for its consumer-facing website, and a silver for its co-op advertising program.
