CEDIA Tease: Legrand Highlights Vantage, QMotion Synergies

Lighting control provider Vantage will yield system design, programming and installation benefits for inclusion of QMotion motorized shade within automation projects as one of the perks from last year’s acquisition.

The ever-expanding portfolio of Legand North America continues to pay dividends for integrators who prefer one-stop technology supplier shopping. Such synergies are on display at CEDIA 2016, in Legrand’s booth #5132.

There, chief among Legrand’s brands that tie technologies together, Vantage Controls will display the latest in lighting control products, including the newly released InFusion Universal Dimming Module (UDM) and upcoming Universal Dimmer Station (UDS), both key products for LED migration that provide effective and seamless dimming control of multiple lighting sources.

Vantage will also feature its exciting new integration with QMotion, a company recognized for its award-winning automated window coverings and a relative newcomer to the Legrand family having been acquired last December.

Incorporating QMotion with Vantage brings the best of integrated lighting and shade controls to market, according to Legrand, enabling faster installation time and faster programming, allowing dealers to save on costs.

QMotion QIS (Qadvanced Intelligent System) hardwired shades and Qube coordinator will be included in the Vantage Design Center software as native objects, resulting in a single programming tool, enabling faster programming and commissioning for projects.

QIS with Vantage’s centralized system are perfect for new construction projects, while QMotion’s Qadvanced with ZigBee Home Automation version 1.2 battery-operated shades and Vantage's wireless lighting control solution are ideal for retrofit applications.

In addition, the latest version of Design Center 3.6 features a superior user interface, extensive personalization, live graphical animation of shade position and dynamic presets with grouping and super grouping, which allows control of multiple disparate shades in a single object.

New reporting features, including project summary, advanced diagnostics, Equinox widgets and shades reports for types, areas and wiring will result in accurate, detailed worksheets for commissioning, wiring and project documentation.

Furthermore, adorne-styled, fully programmable Vantage keypads will also be on display. The adorne collection from Legrand brings a new aesthetic to luxury lighting control and includes decorative switches, dimmers and wall plates.
