Bowers & Wilkins points out that it only uses the Signature name on special occasions and with the introduction of its its new 700 S3 Signature loudspeakers, music lovers and home theater enthusiasts now have access to some of the highest performing 700 Series products it has ever designed.
According to the British audio company, only eight series of loudspeakers have carried its rare Signature title, and through this moniker, it now provides homeowners with with a selection of 700 series products that feature upgraded internal components and new finish options.

Bowers & Wilkins 700 S3 Signature Products Offer a Choice of Models
The largest model in the new Signature range is the 702 S3 Signature, which Bowers & Wilkins says is a three-way floorstanding loudspeaker that builds on the specification of the 702 S3, the flagship model in the 700 Series range.
At the heart of the 700 S3 Signature loudspeakers’ design is its Carbon Dome tweeter, housed in a decoupled Tweeter-on-Top aluminum enclosure. Bowers & Wilkins says this design concept is enhanced in this model with the addition of a new protective tweeter grille mesh derived from the 800 Series Signature models, introduced in 2023.

The speaker’s decoupled Continuum Cone FST midrange drive unit includes its Biomimetic Suspension, which notably reduces unwanted coloration emanating from behind the drive unit is said to ensure clean, effortless insight into the midrange and an open, spacious sound.
The company points out the 702 S3 Signature also includes three 6.5-inch Aerofoil Profile bass drivers for full-sounding bass, complete with upgraded drive-unit suspensions that help improve bass clarity.
Joining the 702 S3 Signature floorstanding speaker in the 700 S3 Signature range of products are a bookshelf and center-channel loudspeaker.
Taking a closer look at the 705 S3 Signature bookshelf loudspeaker, Bowers & Wilkins boasts this product brings new standards of performance and capability in a smaller, more room- friendly form factor than the larger floorstanding model. As with the larger 702 S3 Signature, the 705 S3 Signature also includes an all-new tweeter grille mesh for more openness and transparency, as well as an upgraded crossover with new capacitors and resistors, plus rearranged bypass capacitors.
The global home audio company notes the bookshelf speaker shares the improved speaker terminals from 702 S3 Signature, and it also includes an all-new drive-unit suspension for its 6.5-inch drive unit that is said to produce a cleaner midrange and more extended bass.
Standing out from the other Signature series products is 700 S3 Signature HTM71 S3 Signature center-channel loudspeaker. Bowers & Wilkins emphasizes that for the first time, home theater enthusiasts can access the performance of Signature technology through the HTM71 S3 Signature center-channel speaker, which incorporates a three-way design, along with the same Tweeter-on-Top assembly as both the 702 and 705 S3 Signature models, ensuring the best possible integration with the performance of the rest of the product line.
These technologies are complemented by a centrally mounted 5-inch Continuum Cone FST midrange drive unit, along with Bower & Wilkins’ decoupling and Biomimetic suspension technologies. The speaker also utilizes 5-inch Aerofoil Profile bass cones to help the HTM71 S3 Signature produce a fully extended presentation.
Bowers & Wilkins adds all three new 700 S3 Signature models available in two exclusive Signature finishes that are complemented by identifying Signature logo plates on their rear panels. The midnight-blue metallic paint is the same as offered on the Nautilus loudspeaker and the 800 Series Signature models. Alternatively, all three loudspeakers are also available in a datuk-gloss wood veneer. Exclusive to the new 700 Series Signature models, both finishes also include gold trims to their drive units and tweeter housings to further highlight their Signature status.
