UBG also strives to be a conduit for select manufacturer partners to connect with the best hearth dealers in North America, helping them penetrate the market with their product, to increase market share and profitability.
MantelMount’s role as a manufacturer partner is a perfect fit for both the company and UBG. MantelMount’s pulldown, tilt-and-swivel TV wall mounts are ideally suited for high-on-the-wall installations, especially over a fireplace. Since UBG unites a network of more than 285 Specialty Fireplace Stores across the United States and Canada, MantelMount has the opportunity to connect with a group of dealers who can subsequently offer the company’s full line of manual and automated mounts to a highly targeted audience.
For the United Buyers Group (UBG), being able offer, hearth-related products represents a potentially significant new revenue stream. What’s more, the buying power of UBG will allow the group to purchase the mounts at a very favorable price point, further increasing profit margins.
“Let’s say a customer has just bought a new fireplace or some other related accessory, or has just installed a new hearth,” states Lee Marc, CEO of MantelMount.
“The dealer asks if they have a TV mounted over the fireplace. If they do, he or she can start talking about MantelMount … in our experience, we’ve found that many people don’t even know a product like ours exists,” he added. “Once they hear about it, it practically sells itself.”
