DMF Lighting, a developer of modular lighting for the custom integration channel, has announced the release of “Light Is Everything,” a short film that explores the transformative power of light in design, mood, and human experience.
The film features cinematographer Salvatore Totino (Cinderella Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming) and was filmed by Clair Popkin (Free Solo, The Rescue). Through beautiful visuals, the film brings to life DMF’s philosophy that light is not merely about illumination—it’s about shaping how we see and interact with our surroundings.
“Cinematographers are masters of using lighting to set tones, evoke emotions, and enhance storytelling. That’s why it made perfect sense for us to collaborate with them to illustrate the importance of lighting in everyday life—a value at the heart of DMF’s philosophy,” says Ruslan Polinovsky, Sr. director of marketing, DMF Lighting. “With this film, we aimed to highlight the emotional and technical power of lighting while demonstrating how DMF’s latest innovation—PhaseX—empowers integrators to create stunning lighting environments with ease.”
Introduced at Lightapalooza 2025, PhaseX provides tunable white lighting, with color tuning, ultra-low 0.1% dimming, and flexible integration in a way that’s both simple and scalable. Designed specifically for custom integrators, PhaseX allows seamless deployment of digital lighting without the complexity typically associated with advanced lighting systems.
PhaseX is compatible with all control platforms that utilize DMX. It features native integration with Crestron Home OS where PhaseX fixtures are automatically recognized, making discovery, setup, and control effortless. Leveraging the Crestron Home Digital Platform, PhaseX enables advanced lighting control, from custom lighting scenes and circadian rhythm tuning to individualized fixture addressing for unparalleled flexibility.
