Bekins Wins DMF Lighting “Drive Sales with DMF” Contest

Published: December 16, 2020

DMF Lighting, a manufacturer modular downlighting for the custom home integration channel, announced that CI dealer Bekins is the first winner of the “Drive Sales With DMF” promotion.

As the winner DMF will treat a Bekins executive, their local manufacturers’ representative, and a design-build trade partner of their choice to an ocean-front hotel stay, a visit to the DMF Lighting office, and an unforgettable track day at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles.

Two additional winners of the “Drive Sales With DMF” contest will be selected at random over the next month.

Dealers participating in the promotion were required to schedule a webinar for their team and invite at least one of their design-build partners to attend. Available webinars include “Benefits of Modular Lighting,” which explains how modular lighting simplifies the design, installation, and management of projects. DMF’s modular system can improve a home’s aesthetics and help integrators save time and money from the inception of the project through installation, and all the way to any future renovations.

“Introduction to Lighting & Lighting Design” is an introductory webinar that explores key lighting specification points, such as color rendering index (CRI), lumen output, and dimmer compatibility. Integrators will learn the basics of lighting design and how they can achieve multiple lighting applications within one product family.

“The purpose of the contest is to reward dealers who are willing to invest time in training their teams and their design-build partners about how to best utilize light and incorporate DMF into their projects,” said Mike Libman, National Sales Director, Residential Systems. “The webinars are an opportunity for us to educate dealers who are focused on building a strategic advantage to target the $44 billion U.S. lighting category.”

“I recently learned about DMF through ProSource and was instantly intrigued,” comments Erin Habib, EI Lighting Designer, Bekins.

“Their systems are laid out in a simple format (housing/module/trim) with endless configurations, making it much easier to understand the offering. The flexibility of the DID4 with tool-free adjustments in the field further reduces concern for sourcing the correct luminaire. I’m looking forward to meeting the team at DMF, touring their facility, and spending time learning about the love that goes into every product made by this unique brand.”
