The SRS-WS1 Immersive Wearable Speaker from Sony takes the immersive audio experience and brings it to a personalized level.
Sony says that all users need to do is place the wireless SRS-WS1 on their shoulders in order to listen to music and AV content.
According to Sony, the personalized audio system utilizes “speaker slots” that are combined with digital sound processing technologies to surround users with sound.
Sony points out the SRS-WS1s incorporate 30mm full-range speakers on both sides, along with a “vibration board” that is said to provide “excellent high-register playback.” The level of vibration is controllable through the unit’s low, medium and high settings, and the SRS-WS1’s inclusion of 2.4GHz RF wireless connectivity provides low latency for a more responsive listening experience.
The popular electronics company adds the SRS-WS1 comes with a wireless transmitter that connects to a home AV system via optical or audio cable. Integrators can connect up to two SRS-WS1s to a single transmitter for use with AV and gaming systems, or even smart products.
