Designed, engineered and built in Switzerland, the newly announced Stenheim Reference Ultime Two offers audiophiles a more compact speaker solution.
Stenheim‘s latest floorstanding loudspeaker employs a d’Appolito driver array that includes an off-set, symmetrical driver layout.
Explaining the new Reference Ultime Two floorstanding loudspeaker in greater detail, the Swiss company states that it utilizes a passive crossover network that uses the same electronic components as its other loudspeakers.
Stenheim points out that unlike its other speakers that incorporate pairs of rear-firing bass woofers, the Reference Ultime Two speaker incorporates a pair of bass-reflex ports to augment the speaker’s 12-inch woofers.
In addition to the 12-inch woofers, the new speaker also features a pair of 6.5-inch midrange woofers, along with a single 1-inch tweeter, and these drivers live in an aluminum cabinet that incorporates six independent, internal chambers.
The three-way design Reference Ultime Two speaker is rated as a 4-ohm load, and its power handling capabilities as 400-watts of continuous power with an 800-watt peak power capacity.
Moreover, Stenheim specifies the speaker’s frequency response at 25Hz to 35kHz, and the company says the speaker is amp friendly 95dB sensitive.
