Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Polk Audio has chosen a speaker from its product line and enhanced it as a limited edition model: The Reserve Series R200 loudspeakers.
Polk Audio states that its Reserve Series R200 loudspeaker has been universally well received by homeowners, dealers and the AV press, and so it is was a logical decision to choose the R200 Loudspeakers for a new limited edition production run. The 50th anniversary loudspeaker will be limited to just 1,000 units worldwide, and Polk Audio emphasizes that once the production run is completed it will not make any more.
The R200 Loudspeakers will feature a dark cherry finish and a 50th anniversary plaque with Matthew Polk’s laser-etched signature. In addition, Polk Audio notes the speaker will wear an original Polk Audio logo, and carry a unique serial number.
Internally, the speaker utilizes a 1-inch Ring Radiator tweeter, along with a 6.5-inch Turbine Cone woofer. Polk Audio states the speaker provides a minimum 3.8-ohm impedance rating and a sensitivity rating of 86dB. Polk Audio adds the speaker provides homeowners a frequency response of 51Hz to 38kHz, which supports the ability to playback a range of content.
