PoEWit Technologies, a manufacturer of PoE-based lighting products, motion detectors and networking solutions, has bolstered its line of networking products with the launch of its R-Series Routers.
The Fla.-based company states that as part of the development process for its latest products, it partnered with Fortinet to integrate the company’s proprietary SoC processors into the product line. PoEWit Technologies says the new R-Series Routers are enterprise-grade networking solutions and the product line offers integrators a choice of three models: R-4, R-4 DW and R-10.
PoEWit explains the preconfigured line of enterprise routers provide integrators with high levels of network performance without the complexity of traditional enterprise routers. According to the company, the R-Series Routers can be extended to the wireless network through its PoEWit app when a wireless access point is installed. The company also points out that when the products are paired with its network switches, all R-Series Routers will support 802.1Q VLAN-tagging.
Other benefits the new routers provide integrators include the ability to handle over 250 devices straight out of the box with no additional configuration.
In addition, the R-Series Routers feature multiple VPN tunnels, along with dedicated DMZ ports, fanless designs, and PoEWit Technologies, stresses the units ship with custom rack-mount brackets to facilitate their installation.
