Approximately a year ago, the Calif.-based company OSD Audio introduced its DAC-X-A100 integrated Amplifier/DAC solution. Stepping up the power and overall performance of its integrated amp/DAC product, OSD Audio has announced its new DAC-X-200 Integrated Amplifier/DAC.
The newly announced integrated amp/DAC is rated to deliver double the power over the original version or 200-watts-per-channel, and the company notes the integrated amp/DAC also provides a choice of inputs, including USB, optical digital, and analog to allow integrators to connect the unit to TVs, stereo speakers, computers, and streaming devices. The unit also provides custom installers the ability to integrate into whole-house audio systems, and it can be used for commercial audio applications.
OSD Audio points out that at the heart of the DAC-X-200 Integrated Amplifier/DAC’s performance capabilities are ES9018K2M SABRE32 Reference digital-to-analog converters (DAC), and through the SABRE32 DAC chips, the integrated Amplifier/DAC supports 32-bit/384khz PCM data via 12S, as well as DSD-11.2MHz data, and mono.
Some of the residential applications that dealers can use the new OSD Audio product include for upgrading the sound of TVs and computers, and the amp can also be used with smart devices such as Apple iPhones and iPads, and Android-based phones.
OSD Audio adds, the DAC-X-200 Integrated Amplifier/DAC in a commercial environment can be used for situations such as the connection of a microphone to Line 2 to make announcements, and interrupting background music.
