VITAL MGMT announced its new market vision for growing the potential of the custom installation industry as a whole, through a focus on proven metrics and business coaching of custom integrators.
This new growth initiative will be led by Matt Bernath who has been coaching and collaborating with VITAL for the past two years and brings a strong frontline experience having run his own custom installation company. Bernath was CEO of Orange County, Calif.-based Surreal Systems until 2018 when he sold the CE Pro 100 company.
As Matt Bernath takes on the new leadership role at VITAL, he sees an environment that will attract experienced operators who can coach others. The founders will be helping him on-board new coaches as well.
“The majority of CI businesses are owner-centric companies where the bottlenecks are limiting growth and serving to over-stress and under-reward their owners. This leads to an industry that is not realizing it’s growth and value potential, or attracting enough outside capital or new talent,” states Bernath.
“We have identified an opportunity to shift the trajectory of the CI dealer and industry as a whole. This transformation in how the CI dealer thinks and acts will raise the bar for everyone.”
VITAL, a long-time proponent of an accounting standard for integration companies, has also retained a national QuickBooks Pro Advisory firm to help companies get set up and get monthly feedback through its dashboard service.
Founders Firszt & Starkey have worked with over 300 CI companies and 70 companies have been coached just within the past three years.
“Matt’s vision and the new on-boarding company allows us to expand our practice to the next 500-plus companies in our industry,” comments VITAL MGMT co-founder Steve Firszt.
“His skills and acumen are just right for him to be the pied piper for adding other coaches and scaling VITAL’s business.”
His vision includes helping 500 companies and $1.5B in custom installation revenue generate profits and efficiencies at levels never achieved before.
“The impact could be three times what companies are experiencing today, and that’s a game changer” adds Bernath.
