The name of the custom integration firm that put together the A/V and control systems for this massive theater could not be more apt for the owners who get to enjoy it on a daily basis.
Tampa Bay, Fla.-based Easy Living with Technology says that this room in Largo boasts the largest home theater screen on the West Coast of Florida.
But it’s not just the sheer size of the viewing area that impresses; this full-throttle theater, designed by award-winning firm First Impressions Theme Theatres of North Miami, delivers a premium entertainment feast for the eyes and ears of every visitor who takes a seat in one of First Impressions’ own custom and comfy CineLoungers.
Signature Brands Make a Statement
Of course, this type of home theater does not just spring up overnight. This project took around two-and-a-half years from design to remodeling and construction to technology installation and programming.
All of the work, whose challenges included the participation and coordination at various phases featuring electricians, carpenters and other trades, according to Easy Living’s Ashley Huber, certainly paid off.

For one thing, the key A/V players in this theater bear the names Stewart Filmscreen, Digital Projection and JBL Synthesis, to give an idea of its prowess.
At the forefront is a 201-inch Stewart Filmscreen CineCurve with motorized masking panels — that’s Easy Living president and founder Mike Stram with arms stretched out in front of the screen; other team members included operations manager Brandon Hubbard, systems designer Mark Elble and technicians Scott Jordan and Kevin Latham.
Careful Craftsmanship All Around
Delivering the high-quality imagery to the Stewart screen is a dual-bulb DP Titan DLP projector with 3D and optics package, which utilizes an anamorphic lens to produce the super-wide CinemaScope aspect ratios.
The theater designers housed the big projector in an elegant woodworked hush box that blends in with its ornate surroundings.
The speaker system is kept out of sight too, and there were many to conceal. The JBL Synthesis Atlas array includes three SK2-3300 models with 10-inch woofers behind custom paneling up front and six S4Ai in-wall surrounds.
Behind the scenes, a Middle Atlantic rack system — with floor-friendly casters and vented panels — houses the gear.
Meanwhile, there is a URC control package that includes wireless remote, network switch and access point for simplified command of everything while kicking back.
