Michael Bridwell, a former sales and marketing exec for Digital Projection and Screen Innovations, has joined Dana Innovations — parent company of Sonance, iPort and Trufig, as director of commercial sales.
Bridwell will guide the overall commercial sales direction for Dana “as we grow our presence within the commercial audio community,” says Jason Sloan, chief sales officer for the company.
In the role, Bridwell will build strategic partnerships with key associations, manufacturing partners, system designers and integration firms across the commercial landscape.
“Over the years I’ve learned that I'm at my best when two particular scenarios align: passion for the challenge, and a team approach,” says Bridwell. “Dana Innovations has a tremendous amount of value to bring to the commercial marketplace, and there is a great deal of work ahead of us. That excites me.”
He adds, “The Dana group consistently demonstrates a team philosophy, and I believe Dana’s integration and technology partners benefit generously from that core belief.”
Previously, Bridwell spent eight years at the high-end video projector manufacturer Digital Projection International, moving his way up to the position of VP marketing and home entertainment. He then spent a year as VP sales and marketing for screen manufacturer Screen Innovations.
Sonance rolled out its Professional Series loudspeakers dedicated to the commercial market during CEDIA 2016, featuring in-ceiling, pendant and surface-mount models.
