Legrand has been on quite a buying spree lately with purchases of companies like Middle Atlantic, QMotion and most recently Pinnacle Lighting. But to date, the collaboration between the purchased companies has been somewhat sparse, at least on the surface. Each Legrand company runs on its own independently as its own brand, but now we are getting a glimpse at the efforts to encourage integrators to offer multiple Legrand brands.
One such attempt was unveiled at the Azione Unlimited Spring Soiree conference in Phoenix this week, where QMotion and Vantage showed off a joint program that enables dealers to increase their buying power with both brands
Cassie Metzger, senior brand development manager at QMotion, and Dave Dilitkanich, director of business development at Vantage, jointly unveiled the “Better Together” buying plan exclusive to AU members.
The plan enables dealers to combine their buying power for both Vantage and Q-Motion products by offering deep discounts of varying levels for products, showroom samples, freight, volume incentive rebates (VIRs) and early pay plans. The Better Together program also offers discounts on sign-up fees for new dealers.
“The purchase [by Legrand] has been great for us,” adds Metzger. In addition to the financial resources, she cites how the backing of a big company like Legrand is helping Q-Motion bring over new dealers who already use other Legrand brands.
