Kenneth Johnsen has spent the last 15 years in training, sales and product management for custom-oriented audio brands, namely Niles and and its successor companies within Nortek.
Now Johnsen has joined Russound as senior product specialist, responsible for training and West Coast sales management.
“My heart, soul, and career are steeped in the audio business, and no brand is more committed to the market than Russound,” says Johnsen. “I believe one of the main reasons for the company’s success and longevity is the singular focus on distributed audio, while at the same time aggressively pursuing integration partnerships with some of the leading names in CI [custom integration].”
Johnsen joined Niles Audio in 1999 as training manager, then took on roles in sales and product management. Niles was acquired by Nortek in 2005 and was later folded into a division called AVC Group, for which Johnsen took on the role of international training manager. He held that position when AVC became Core Brands in 2012 and continued in that role serving Niles and sister brands SpeakerCraft, Elan, Panamax, Xantech and others.
“Kenneth is one of those professionals who can translate everything that is important about a product, technology, or sales and marketing program into terms that speak to our customers’ best interests,” says Russound CEO Charlie Porritt.
