It used to be that environmental room conditions could have a detrimental impact on the performance of projection systems. However, thanks to the introduction of products like the new Draper TecVision XH800X ambient light rejecting (ALR) screen, integrators are now able to offer quality projection systems regardless of room environments.
Draper says that its latest screen solution is formulated for use with ultra-short throw (UST) and short-throw projectors in rooms with moderate and high levels of ambient light.
“Most ALR screen surfaces are manufactured to reflect off-axis ambient light away from the viewer,” notes Steve Cook, consultant relations manager, Draper, Inc.
“With TecVision XH800X UST ALR, Draper was able to pull off a formulation that rejects up to 57 percent of off-axis ambient light and has a reasonable gain of 0.8 without sacrificing much projection light.”
For integrators who also work in the commercial environment, Cook says, “Short-throw projection is an important tool in classrooms, where the lights need to be kept on for the students and instructors to work together. TecVision XH800X UST ALR will dramatically increase the effectiveness of these classrooms.”
Draper TecVision ALR Material Keeps Colors Accurate
