Fulfilling the market’s hunger for ambient light rejecting screens (ALR), the new Da-Lite Parallax 2.3 screen solution is designed for installation in a range of room environments.
Da-Lite says its latest screen product provides integrators with a high-gain surface that delivers a gradual brightness drop off to help maintain image quality when the screen is viewed from less than desirable angles.
The Eden Prairie, Minn.-based company says the screen’s multitude of features enable integrators to employ the material in a variety of room environments and with a range of legacy bulb-based and modern laser and solid-state projectors.
“We’ve worked hard to develop an ambient light rejecting surface that gives customers projector pairing flexibility. When budget is an issue, end users can now enjoy the benefits of an ALR screen without immediately upgrading the projector,” says Rhen Taylor, product manager, Da-lite.
“Parallax 2.3 can pair with projectors that output between 1,500 to 2,500 lumens in screen sizes up to 94 inches diagonal, and between 2,500 to 5,000 lumens in sizes between 100 inches to 120 inches diagonal.”
Environmentally-Friendly Materials & Construction
Engineered for residential home theater and commercial AV usages, Da-Lite Parallax 2.3 ambient light rejecting screens are constructed through multiple microlayers to produce as much as 96 percent ambient light blocking and a viewing cone of 46 degrees.
Meeting the environmental concerns of a growing amount of consumers, Da-Lite also says the Parallax 2.3 material is GREENGUARD and GREENGUARD Gold certified.
Da-Lite says the screen is eligible to participate in the Screen Green program that allows dealers and consumers to send old surfaces back recycling to keep them out of landfills to help maintain a healthier planet.
The company emphasizes that its facility is 100 percent landfill-free to also help with its ecological impact on the earth.
In addition, the Da-Lite Parallax 2.3 is available in a choice of fixed frame sizes to meet the needs of large commercial installations.
