Solving one of the most frustrating problems of owning a smart or programmable thermostat, the new Crestron Horizon Thermostat incorporates a two-wire design that eliminates the issue of waking up to a dead smart thermostat, and it includes other features such as a 3.5-inch touchscreen.
“While traditional smart thermostats often force homeowners and installers to choose between aesthetics, control, and functionality, the Horizon Thermostat was designed to deliver all three as the first smart thermostat that can effortlessly meet the needs of designers, integrators, and consumers alike,” states John Clancy, executive vice president, residential, for Crestron.
“Crestron has a legacy of designing and manufacturing products that are built to last. The Horizon Thermostat is no exception, offering the powerful Crestron backbone of control that we stand behind and support end-to-end.”
Crestron Horizon Thermostat Is Home and User Friendly
The Rockleigh, N.J.-based company explains that its new thermostat is capable of reacting dynamically to routines within the home based on temperature and humidity information accumulated via proximity sensors. When integrated into Crestron’s Home platform, the new thermostat acts in synchrony with other smart devices in the home that include lighting and shades to provide higher levels of comfort, convenience and energy savings.
The Horizon Thermostat measures 124mm wide x 89mm high, and Crestron offers the product in a choice of white, black or almond to help it match the color schemes of most home designs.
