Pioneer Elite has always been a respected product line. Adding to this popular series of products, the Long Beach, Calif., company has just introduced two new AV receivers that include all of the market's latest features at competitive price points.
The brand's new VSX101 and VSX301 are reasonably priced AV receivers that deliver 170 watts and 140 watts into 6 ohms (one-channel driven), and both products include Pioneer's proprietary Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System (MCACC) equalization system. MCACC employs a microphone and measures speaker size, level and distance, and it equalizes the room to create an improved listening environment.
Pioneer also says the receivers incorporate its Phase Control technology that compensates for any delays in bass to improve sound synchronization for “a clearer reproduction of sound in the middle and high frequency bands.”
In addition, both receivers offer state-of-the-art surround sound processing with Dolby's Atmos format, and through a firmware release later this year, the receivers will support the playback of DTS:X format. The receivers' array of wireless technology options include Wi-Fi, AirPlay, GoogleCast, Bluetooth, and FireConnect, which is a protocol that mirrors any audio source connected to the receivers to allow for the streaming of content from the receivers to any compatible device in other rooms.
The receivers also comply with HDCP 2.2 and provide 4K 60fps/4:4:4 24-bit compatibility to allow homeowners to playback the latest video content, including HDR-enabled 4K.
